Magnolia Justice @ Calaboose Cellars | Andrews | North Carolina | United States

Five years ago, Jarrod and Alyssa met and fell in love cruising around the mountain backroads of western North Carolina, singing along to the radio and sharing with each other the albums and songs the held most dear (they are still using that auxiliary cable/cassette tape device everyone had.) Fast forward to present and two music projects later, Jarrod and Alyssa find themselves newlywed and nestled in the heart of the Cumberland Gap, sitting on songs that were written for the sake of the song and vocal harmonies as rich as the pasture land that flow off of the sharp East Tennessee hills.

Magnolia Justice is a band firmly founded in finely crafted songwriting , telling tales of true emotion, as well as that visceral human reaction to two voices blending perfectly in natural harmony. Drawing heavily from classic influences such as Dylan, Kristofferson, Haggard, and the Rolling Stones in addition to tipping the cap to modern giants such as The Avett Brothers, Jason Isbell, and John Paul White of the Civil Wars, Magnolia Justice brings a sound that is neither country nor singer-songwriter, neither folk nor rock.

To put it quite simply–it is all about the songs; stories that matter and sounds that move you.
